SAFEGUARDING REQUIREMENTS FOR AFFILIATION – 2024/25
With the new season on the horizon, please find attached the Safeguarding requirements in order to affiliate for the 2024/25 Season. The one notable addition is that ALL open-age Club Welfare Officers and ALL Team Officials (Managers/Coaches/Assistants/First Aiders) must complete the following free, online Player Welfare in Open Age Football course:

WORKING TOGETHER POLICY 2023
As most of you will be aware, the Government have made changes to the ‘Working Together Policy’. For ease, I have attached the NSPCC’s summary of the changes to the legislation. The statutory guidance is on multi-agency working to help, protect and promote the welfare of children.

CPD ROUND - UP
The team visited Tranmere Rovers, Stockport County and Cheshire FA HQ; it was great to see so many faces from across the Welfare Officer network including Club and League officials, bringing with them best practice ideas and excellent suggestions of ways we can work together further. We were also delighted to be joined by special guest, Matt Johnston (Cheshire West & Chester Safeguarding Partnership) at our Cheshire FA HQ event to provide even more insight. Hearing from Frodsham JFC & Stockport Dynamoes was totally inspiring and a huge thank you to both club’s for sharing the work they are doing. Click here to read more.
