Midweek Update for Tuesday 04th May 2021

A Brendan Doherty strike supplemented by a brace from Tom Ward sealed a fine 3-1 victory for Upton Town who hope to be in the mix at the end of the season with a promotion push from Division Two to Division One over Belmont in The Houlihan’s Birkenhead Sunday Football Association League, JPL Jets are currently flying high securing a 3-1 success at Wellington FC (George McMillan) with their endeavour for securing honours at the end of the season, Higher Bebington JFC (Joel Whaley, Matt Crowe) held 2nd place Bromborough Rake to a 2-2 draw denting their chances of the 2nd Division championship while Neston United shared a goalless draw

Midweek action from Division One saw Shaftesbury Youth move into second spot after recording a 2-1 win over Corsair Youth, Lions FC also want to have say in promotion race registering maximum points with a 3-1 result at Telegraph FC thanks to a double strike from Ameel Al Gamri and a further effort from Matt Kerr

Free scoring Division Three leaders New Ferry Rangers found the net 7 times and only conceded one (1) at Glenavon Athletic (Alex Perry) with Jack Kelly leading the way again with another hatrick, also on the scoresheet were Louis Haddock with a brace and singles from Nathan Crabtree and Henry Willett, a treble from Jack Cohen help set the seal for Silva Athletic against hosts Oval FC (Jack Brown) 5-1 with Martin Whalley and Bailey Sherlock completing the scoring to maintain second spot at the moment, close on their heels are MSC Eastham who defeated AFC Raeburn 3-0 who are only a point behind, AFC Park North romped to a 6-0 win at Wirral Athletic and a lower end of the table tussle saw the honours go to AFC Tima (Phil Bibby, Jack Kelly) 2-1 over Rangers Breaks (Engin Demirer).
