Shaftesbury Youth called the tune in Division One of The Houlihan’s Birkenhead Sunday Association Football League to go six points clear of the nearest rivals with only four games left as they chase down the second automatic promotion place for the Premier Division defeating Wirral Radio (Matty Walker 2, Tom Williams) 7-3

Division Two favourites The Lukes had their shooting boots on after romping home 9-1 against Wellington FC leading the way with a fine hatrick was Ben Kearney and singles each for Ben Crossley, Danny Mooney, Luke Ainscough, Dan O’Hallaron, Will Bulpin and Dave Lewis, The Lukes are now six points ahead with 7 games remaining, there were more goals from Neston United hitting the back of the net five times thanks to Ross Meadows, Mark Nokes, Chris Bushell, Graham Williams and Nick Jones who are in the hunt for a promotion spot after registering a 5-2 success over Barcode FC (Alex Tucker, Rhys Price), JPL Jets who had a narrow 2-1 win over basement club Barkers FC (Mark Munt) have the points in the bag but have played a couple more games than their nearest rivals and may have to wait and rely on others to drop points to claim a place in the three promotion places

MSC Eastham sealed maximum points 4-1 as they played hosts to division three strugglers Wirral Athletic (Joe Roberts), MSC Eastham currently sit in second spot and could a have rocky run in with the likes of Glenavon Athletic (Nathan Penny, Lewis Killen, Alex Lamb 2, Jordan McAteer, Bailey Onwuemene) who hit AFC Tima (Ste Gateley) for six and intend to give all the chasing pack a tough time in the final few weeks of the season, Oval FC (Jake Norton, Jack Brown, Michael Simpson, OG) accounted for Rangers Breaks 4-0
