New Ferry Rangers are storming away with the aim of lifting the Third Division title in The Houlihan’s Birkenhead Sunday Association Football League with two wonderful wins 12-0 in midweek and 4-0 last Sunday amongst the goals was Jack Kelly who notched 9 last week and only 6 this week, 5 against Victoria Colts in midweek and just the one at Rangers Breaks in a 4-0 rout ,he was supported by Henry Willett who claimed a fine treble, Victoria Colts (Gaz Dickenson, Joe McAnespie),got back to winning ways with a narrow 2-1 victory of the much improved Silva Athletic (Bayleigh Sherlock) AFC with back to back wins have moved into second spot with 3-1 & 4-1 results against AFC Tima and Parkgate St Germain, MSC Eastham also registered maximum point in their last two games to gain a mid table position 2-1 last Sunday and 3-2 in midweek

It is wide open for the Illustrious Premier Division Title which is sponsored in memory of the late Ryan (Gigsy) Atherton, League leaders Rock Ferry Social dipped in midweek to FC Bidston (Liam Casey 2, Alan Goodhall) 2-1 and could only muster up a share of the spoils with Lancelyn Glenavon (Joe Wingfield, Danny Stevens, Danny Dixon) in an exciting 3-3 game, on the scoresheet for the Rock Ferry side were Charlie Macinnes with brace and a single from Luke Denson, A Penalty from Mike Burkey in midweek on the stroke of half time was it took to separate Queens Park and Neston Nomads in a close encounter and Queens Park (Adam Smith 2, Ben Holmes, Harvey Sample) then followed up with their fourth maximum points haul on the bounce inside 10 days with a excellent 4-1 success at FC Bidston (Paul Wallace), Dock AFC were the odd team out and did not have a fixture are now in third place with a game in hand on both Rock Ferry Social and Queens Park are a one and two points behind respectfully while 4th placed Beechwood (Jack Grotty, Adam Leatt, Owen McMahon) had a 3-0 convincing result at Neston Nomads and hot on the heels of the top three, it is going to be a 4 team race as we approach the half way mark in the Premier Division

Action from Division One saw Rivacre FC (Joe Foster, Joe Brandon, Jamie Eaton 3, Dan Cross, Andy Rogers) thump AFC Shaftes 7-0 coupled with 4-1 success in midweek 4-1 over Wirral Radio, joint second favourites Corsair FC had Alan Bull and Kieran Donahue on the mark with a double each supplemented by a Brad Greer effort in a splendid 5-2 win at Lions FC (OG, Scott Nickson), Woodchurch Rovers Matt Smith 2, Callum Whitby, Owen Wharton, Tom Briggs) posted a fine 5-0 over Telegraph FC after suffering a surprise 5-3 defeat in midweek to AFC Shaftes (Liam Massey-Bowen, Lewis Trodden, Dave Byrne, Owen Ainscough, Kassim Jebrin), basement club Ellesmere Port Athletic claimed their first maximum last Tuesday 2-0 over Lions FC and followed it up with a fine 1-1 draw at FC Tranmere and move above FC Tranmere

The Lukes continue to dominate Division Two and staying in pole position with Joe Heath steering the way with a hatrick over Vauxhalls Motors FC in a 9-1 romp and are now five points clear of their nearest rivals, Tom Taft, Will Bulpin 2, Jordan Varney, Alex Major 2, completing the scoring, Lukes also secured a 4-0 win in midweek, hot on their heels are Neston United (Kevin Exell, Mark Nokes) who secured 4 points over Belmont FC 2-0 and shared the spoils with Wellington FC in a 3-3 draw, man of the moment for Bromborough Rake is Kieron Delaney who scored with a 25yard worldy to earn the points in the only goal of the game at Ridgewood Park the home ground of Barcodes FC and scored a brilliant hatrick in their last game with a man of the match performance 5-0 over Eagle Stirrup FC, Eagle Stirrup FC (Jamie Parker, Tom Kewley, Ben Graham) turned things around after a heavy defeat for a narrow 3-0 result over Wellington FC (Sean Hayes, George McMillan ), there were mixed fortunes for Upton Town 4-2 in midweek over Barkers FC (Mark Munt, Billy New) thanks to Callum Mernock, Brendan Doherty, Dan Andrews and Chris Turk, they then dropped points losing to JPL Jets 2-1 but stay in the hunt for a promotion place, Higher Bebington JFC picked up 4 points after a tremendous 5-3 away win at Barkers FC (Billy New, Mark Munt, Ash Robinson) with Nick Amos, Lewis Whitley, Joel Whaley, Will Morris and Paddy Bell all finding the net and hared the honours 1-1 in midweek with JPL Jets courtesy of Josh Jacobs strike
